Zev Chafets, who just finished a book on Rush Limbaugh titled ‘Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One,’ thought it would be interesting if the conservative talk radio host played a round of golf with his arch-rival, President Barack Obama.  The two men openly despise each other.

Chafets ran it past Limbaugh, who said he would happily play a round with the President, that he would be honored to play golf with any current or past President, but Limbaugh said the Commander in Chief would never agree to it.

Chafets had a contact in the White House that he conveyed the message to and in turn the advisor asked Obama about playing golf with Rush.

The reply from Obama was just as Limbaugh had suspected but with a bit of crude humor mixed in:

A day or two later the adviser responded, “Limbaugh can play with himself.” Chafets wouldn’t name the aide or say whether the quote was directly from Obama.

Funny response by Obama albeit not very Presidential.  I think the two should get wired up with mics, play a round of golf together while debating policy.  Make it a pay-per-view event and donate all the generated income to Nashville Flood relief.
