Former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and his wife Deanna Daughtry have just announced they are expecting twins via a gestational surrogate. The couple already has two children, Hannah and Griffin, and the twins are due in November.

Deanna’s partial hysterectomy back in 2006 prevented her from carrying a child, so the couple opted to conceive via In Vitro Fertilization and the embryo was transferred to a surrogate.

Chris released the following statement on his website: “Deanna and I are overjoyed about this double blessing. Thank you for your expressions of love and support and for respecting for our privacy during this special time.”
