Our American Idol Season 9 Top 3 will be fighting for a spot in the big finale with two solo performances, one is the Judges’ Choice and the other is chosen by the contestant, during the live show on Tuesday (May 18) – WARNING: Song Spoilers below.

Casey James, Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze got a taste of the crazy life of a real Idol when they went back to visit their hometowns on Friday (May 14). That was when the judges texted them to let them know what they would be performing tonight.

Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson chose one of John Mayer’s poorest songs, “Daughters” for Casey. Simon Cowell picked Leonard Cohen’s anthem “Hallellujah”, which was already sang by Tim Urban earlier this season, for Lee. And finally, Ellen DeGeneres proved to have great taste in music, choosing Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed” for Crystal.
