Casey James “Daughters” American Idol Top 3 (VIDEO)
The American Idol Season 9 Top 3 finalists performed two songs each, one chosen by the judges and the other by the contestant, to fight for a spot in the big finale during the Choice Week live show on Tuesday (May 18). Casey James will have to sing John Mayer’s “Daughters” chosen by cougar Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson (watch video below).
Kara said Casey needs to know his audience – women and girls – so this song choice was perfect. She wants to see vulnerability. This performance was much better than the first one yet still there was no moment, no spark… we wanted more! Take the shirt off! I kid. Kara was glad Casey was able to show his artistic side. Simon Cowell thought it was kind of boring, lazy and didn’t have a climax. (No comments!)
