Crystal Bowersox “Black Velvet” American Idol Final 2 (VIDEO)
The American Idol Season 9 Top 2 finalists performed three songs each – the first was their favorite of the season, another song was chosen by Idol’s creator Simon Fuller and the last was the winner’s song – to vie for America’s vote during the final live performances show on Tuesday (May 25). Crystal Bowersox performed a rendition of Alannah Myles’ “Black Velvet”, a song chosen by Simon Fuller (watch video below).

Crystal totally rocked it and her energy was fantastic. She sang it and made it her own. Kara DioGuardi was happy Crystal gave her all because that was the night to metaphorically “kill yourself on that stage”. Kara is so dramatic… Simon Cowell confessed that he is allergic to that song since he has heard too many people butchering it so many times, but he surprisingly admitted Crystal nailed it.
