Crystal Bowersox “Me & Bobby McGee” American Idol Final 2 (VIDEO)
The American Idol Season 9 Top 2 finalists performed three songs each – the first was their favorite of the season, another song was chosen by Idol’s creator Simon Fuller and the last was the winner’s song – to vie for America’s vote during the final live performances show on Tuesday (May 25).

Crystal Bowersox made a smart choice when she chose to reprise her Billboard #1 songs week with a performance of Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee” (watch video below). That wasn’t perfect but very close… Crystal was fantastic! Kara DioGuardi loved it and Simon Cowell thought finally they have a competition. I think it’s fair to say Crystal won round 1. On the other hand, Crystal will be performing after Lee in the 3 rounds and I think that was a big disadvantage for him.

If Lee had done the Lee Greenwood song, God Bless the USA, he may have had a chance.
