Crystal Bowersox Winner’s Song “Up To The Mountain” American Idol (VIDEO)
The American Idol Season 9 Top 2 finalists performed three songs each – the first was their favorite of the season, another song was chosen by Idol’s creator Simon Fuller and the last was the winner’s song – to vie for America’s vote during the final live performances show on Tuesday (May 25). For the first time in Idol history, the winner will release a cover instead of a very cheesy original song created by Idol gods.

Crystal Bowersox delivered an intense performance of Patty Griffin’s “Up To The Mountain” (watch video below). That was incredible, beautiful, emotional performance. Crystal is fantastic. We know it. But I did not like the song choice… if this is going to be her first single, I’m not going to buy it. Ellen DeGeneres said that Crystal is in a league of her own right now, while Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell described her performance as “incredible”, “amazing” and “outstanding”.
