“The Biggest Loser” season 9 winner is Michael Ventrella who started as the heaviest contestant ever on the show with an astonishing 526 pounds and managed to lose 264 pounds (50% of his starting weight!) – watch video below. Michael broke the weight loss record set by last season’s winner Danny Cahill, who has lost 239 pounds.

Michael took home the $250,000 prize and is ready for a brand new and healthier beginning. The contestant started the competition with his mother Maria, who did not make it and was eliminated back in week 3.

The second place went to Ashley Johnston, who lost 189 pounds, and finally, in third place is Daris George, who lost 168 pounds. Koli Palu was also one of the winners of the show, losing 188 pounds and taking home $100,000 for “The Biggest Loser” At Home prize.
