The previous winners of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Taylor Hicks and Kris Allen, performed “Together We Are One” on stage as a tribute to Simon Cowell during the American Idol Season 9 final results show on Wednesday (May 26) – watch video below. The Idol winners were joined by other Idol contestants dressed in white. David Cook and Adam Lambert should have been on stage too, but they aren’t. David was reportedly at a charity event and couldn’t make it. Adam… we don’t know.
Simon Cowell joins the Idols on stage and gets very emotional. Paula Abdul does not let go of Simon. Those two… there’s something really special going on between them. Anyway, Simon claims the real judge of this competition is the public at home. Good job, Simon.
