Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack, who was found dead on the same bedroom his wife passed away late last year, was laid to rest next to the actress in a small ceremony attended by 75 friends and family members held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Thursday (May 27).

“It was Simon’s wish to be laid to rest next to her,” said family spokesman Roger Neal. “Sharon (Brittany’s mother) was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together. She told them, ‘I’ll miss you my babies.’ “

During the ceremony, a record of Brittany singing “Smile” accompanied by Simon on the piano was played and a photo of the couple sat on the casket. Brittany’s mom, Sharon Murphy is devastated by the loss of both her daughter and son-in-law in a space of less than six months. Sharon found them unconscious and called 911 on both occasions.
