Eccentric singer Lady GaGa apparently wrote the song “Telephone” for Pop Princess Britney Spears, who recorded a demo but passed on the song (listen to audio below). GaGa recycled the song for a duet with Beyonce, including it in her album, “The Fame Monster”. Britney’s version is not bad but, we have to admit GaGa did it better.

Former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien confessed that if he was in Jay Leno’s shoes he would have handled things differently in his first interview after leaving NBC with Steve Kroft for 60 Minutes (watch video below).
“He went and took that show back, and I think in a similar situation, if roles had been reversed, I know — I know me, I wouldn’t have done that,” O’Brien told Kroft. “If I had surrendered ‘The Tonight Show’and handed it over to somebody publicly and wished them well – and then … six months later. But that’s me, you know. Everyone’s got their own, you know, way of doing things.”
“I think this relationship [with NBC] is going be toxic and maybe we just need to go our separate ways,” he told Kroft. “That’s really how it felt to me … and I started to feel that I’m not sure these people even really want me here…. I can’t do it [anymore].”
After a very bitter divorce, Conan left NBC more popular than ever with a $33 million settlement, a successful comedy tour and more importantly a new late night talk show to premiere in November on TBS (read more details here).

Actress Scarlett Johansson left her husband Ryan Reynolds at home and took her handsome twin brother Hunter Johansson to the 2010 White House Correspondents Dinner held at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington DC on Saturday (May 1).
Hunter and Scarlett look amazing together. The actress wore a not-so-flattering Prada dress but, on the other hand, her hair and makeup were absolutely flawless. The 25 year-old twins appeared together in the movie “Manny & Lo” back in 1996.

Country star Chely Wright is reportedly ready to come out of the closet, unveiling she is, in fact, gay in the upcoming May 5 (Cinco de Mayo) issue of People Magazine. Chely, who was romantically linked to Brad Paisley, also has a book titled “Like Me” and a new album, “Lifted Off The Ground” coming out.
Chely will be the first major country artist to publicly admit she is gay. The 39 year-old singer had a #1 hit, “Single White Female”, and won the Academy Of Country Music Award for ‘New Artist Of The Year’ back in 1999.

President Barack Obama delivered one killer stand-up comedy act speech, which included an F-bomb Joe Biden style, to kick off the 2010 White House Correspondents held at Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington DC on Saturday (May 1). Jay Leno took over but completely disappointed with one-line jokes for 20 excruciating minutes (starting on 17 minute mark).

The President killed it! That was one funny speech with many highlights. Obama ended his speech with a tribute to the journalists who only seek the truth and contribute to a “healthy media, vibrant media.” Funny! Obama is certainly not talking about The National Enquirer and the Obama Cheating Scandal headline…
Times Square was evacuated after police discovered that a suspicious smoking Nissan Pathfinder contained an explosive device, which was promptly dismantled, on Saturday (May 1). The vehicle contained three propane tanks, consumer-grade fireworks, two filled 5-gallon gasoline containers, two clocks with batteries, electrical wire and other components.
In a press conference (watch video below), Major Michael R. Bloomberg, said, “We are very lucky. We avoided what could have been a very deadly event. It certainly could have exploded and had a pretty big fire and a decent amount of explosive impact.” The tragedy was prevented by T-shirt vendor, a Veteran of the Vietnam war, who saw smoke coming out of the vehicle.The Major guaranteed the authorities are investigating this case, which is being treated as a “potential terrorist attack”.
The vehicle’s Connecticut license plate was apparently wrong and came from another truck that was at a junkyard. The police is carefully looking into surveillance videos to find the person responsible for the failed bombing attempt.

Minnesota Timberwolves’ star Kevin Love, who is the nephew of Mike Love, lead singer of the Beach Boys, went to his uncle’s house to have some fun playing beer pong. According to TMZ, the 21 year-old NBA star is a ferocious competitor but not so good at that game. We hope his beer pong failures do not affect his performance on the basketball court.

The winner of the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby is Super Saver (trained by Todd Pletcher) with the incredible time of 2:04:45 on an extremely muddy track at the Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday (May 1). The jockey Calvin Borel won his third Derby in the last four years. Congratulations!

Singer Mariah Carey and her boy toy husband Nick Cannon are still together and still going strong after more than two years. The happy couple celebrated their second anniversary in a small vow renewal ceremony at their Beverly Hills home on Friday (April 30).
Mariah is such a diva! The 40 year-old wore a long white “wedding” dress, which seemed to be at least two sizes too small, and a veil, while Nick looked slick in a white suit.
