“Golden Girl” Betty White has released a statement on the shocking death of her former co-star and close friend, Rue McClanahan, at the age of 76 after suffering a stroke (read more details here).

Betty said, “Rue was a close and dear friend. I treasured our relationship. It hurts more than I even thought it would, if that’s even possible.”
