Actor Gary Coleman tragically passed away a couple of days after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage as a result of a fall at his home in Utah. According to the police report, when officer K Johnson arrived he was met by Gary’s “wife”, Shannon Price, at the front door and she gave him directions to her husband but didn’t accompany him because she did not want to see the blood on the floor.
Gary was sitting on the floor with a towel on the back of his head. The 42 year-old actually walked with assistance to the ambulance that transported him to the hospital. What happened to Gary? How did he fall?

Shannon told the cops they were in bed and she asked Gary to go downstairs and get her some food. He fell shortly after leaving the room. Shannon called 911 and sort of refused to help her husband, saying she didn’t want to be traumatized. “I’m gagging. I’ve got blood on myself. I can’t deal.”

Shannon sounds cold during the emergency call, but everyone reacts to stressful situations differently. Two days later, she decided to pull the plug and take Gary off life support and her authority to do so has been questioned. Gary and Shannon were divorced.

Gary filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences under sealed divorce documents with the names “John Doe” and “Jane Doe” on August 12, 2008. The couple was divorced at the time of his death. So did Shannon have the right to make the decision to pull the plug?
Celebrity Reactions To Gary Coleman’s Tragic Death
Utah Valley Regional Medical Center released the following statement: “Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive that granted Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so. An Advanced Health Care Directive remains in effect regardless of a patient’s marital status, unless modified by the patient. It is a private medical document which the hospital does not have permission to release. However, we received permission to confirm that the document was in effect at the time of Mr. Coleman’s death.”
