Reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have faked their break up in a desperate yet very effective attempt to stay in the spotlight when “The Hills” comes to an end.

An insider says, “Heidi and Spencer are laughing over it and having a blast. This breakup is the latest part of Spencer’s master plan.”

Heidi is devastated. But she is ready to start brand new with a new reality show featuring her BFF, Jennifer Bunney (who?), which will be based on their relationship and men. How creative? While Spencer will be miserable, snap and do something ridiculously outrageous to get them even more publicity.

“Of course Spencer will be in the show,” Jennifer says. “He is her husband and even though they are separating, he is a part of her life and she’s a part of his. He’ll be an aspect of the show … if he wasn’t, it wouldn’t be realistic.”

Speidi have not filed for divorce simply because they are more powerful as a couple than alone. Spencer is most probably the master mind behind their scripted split and big romantic reunion that will follow. They are too predictable.

The truth is we don’t even know if their marriage is legal or not. Spencer has recently admitted that their marriage was “strictly made for TV”, but still believes Heidi is his ideal mate. Spencer even accused Jennifer of using Heidi to get famous.
