The prime suspect in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, Joran van der Sloot confessed to murdering Stephany Flores, breaking her neck in a hotel room in Lima, Peru (more details here). Joran emotionally said, “I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life.”

According to La Republica, Joran cracked under pressure and finally confessed after three days of police questioning on Monday (June 7). Stephany allegedly took his laptop without permission and found out Joran was involved in the disappearance/murder of the American student. Joran is well known for his volatile temper.

Joran faces up to 35 years in a Peruvian prison for the murder of Stephany Flores, who was found beaten to death, her neck broken in a hotel room registered under Joran’s name. There is no information if the confession can lead to a reduced sentence. Joran, who will await trial in prison, is currently under suicide watch.
