Denzel Washington & Viola Davis @ 2010 Tony Awards
Actor Denzel Washington and his co-star Viola Davis won the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress in a play for their roles in the revival of August Wilson’s 1987 “Fences” at the 64th Annual Tony Awards held at the Radio City Music in New York City on Sunday (June 13).

“Fences” also won the Tony for Best Revival of a play. Denzel, who has won two Oscars, apparently wasn’t prepared to receive a Tony – he was surprised and he had not prepared a speech. Denzel said, “I’m amazed. I’m really surprised … and blessed.”
