Broadway star Katie Finneran and actor Darren Goldstein are officially engaged to be married, she revealed during her acceptance speech for Best Featured Actress in a Musical (“Promises, Promises”) at the 64th Annual Tony Awards held at the Radio City Music in New York City on Sunday (June 13).

Katie said, “(He) asked me to marry him. He almost missed tonight because he had this huge commercial but I said that’s fine, we both have to work, but I’m glad he’s here.”

Darren was supposed to be shooting a commercial out of town but decided to support his fiancée instead. Katie has previously won a Tony Award for her role in “Noises Off” back in 2002. Congratulations to Katie and Darren!
