Drunken Chris Klein Busted For DUI, Headed To Jail
“American Pie” star Chris Klein was arrested for DUI after police stopped him at around 3:13 am on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles on Wednesday (June 16). The 31 year-old failed a field sobriety test and his blood alcohol level was 0.20, which is almost three times the legal limit.
Chris, who did not resist arrest, was travelling with a dog. The dog was retrieved by a friend and Chris’ bail was set at $25,000. The actor was arrested and convicted of DUI back in 2004. If convicted again, Chris will have to serve a minimum of four days in jail.
According to TMZ, if Chris is convicted after the date a new “Ignition Interlock System” law goes into effect in July, the actor will have to have the IIS, which is a breathalyzer test synched up to the car.
