“Kate knows she can be a little controlling at times, and she’s working on that aspect of her character,” a source tells OK!. Katie is single and ready to mingle, but she may not be ready for the tough challenges of the first date, first kiss, first passionate night of sex, first fight, etc….

“She thinks it’s weird to have to start over and fall in love from scratch,” a family friend tells OK!. “She’s spoken candidly to [her ex-husband] Jon about how awkward it will be having a first kiss and first date and all these other ‘firsts’ with someone else. Jon feels bad for her… he’s trying to be supportive.”

The question is: are Kate’s kids ready to accept another man in their lives? They are still so young and probably can’t even really understand mommy and daddy are not together anymore. Well, if Jon can have as many girlfriends as he wants, so can Kate (I mean, boyfriends!).
