Actress Demi Lovato, who recently broke up with her boyfriend Joe Jonas, apparently got a brand new tattoo on the right side of her rib cage and decided to flaunt it in a tiny blue bikini during a dream vacation with her family at the Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico this week (more pictures below).

Is Demi’s tattoo fake or real? The 17 year-old confessed last year that she loves to play with media, which is pretty much obsessed with the transformation of Disney stars from cute and adorable kids to teens discovering their sensuality and sexuality (e.g. Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus!).

“Hahahaha some people are so stupid. So what? I like to draw on myself,” she Tweeted in July 2009. “Sue me. Hahaha I’m 16 I’m not getting a tattoo anytime soon. Oh my gosh, not STUPID but I’m just saying people should get their facts straight! Hahaha I’m not mad I just think it’s funny. Man I can’t say anything on this thing! Haha.”

So Demi is most probably fooling us all. Or maybe not! We just checked Demi’s Twitter and when asked about what the tattoo says, Demi said, “it says “you make me beautiful” from Bethany Dillon’s song ‘Beautiful’. That song changed my life.” The tattoo could be real or she could have just drew it on herself!
