Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva was the one who got a restraining order against the father of her 7 month-old daughter, actor Mel Gibson, for domestic violence, contrary to what was first reported.

Oksana reportedly asked for an emergency hearing at the family law court in downtown Los Angeles on Monday (June 21). The 40 year-old claimed Mel, who is known for his impetuous temper, was “extremely violent” with her and was given a restraining order against the actor.

Mel and his lawyers went back to court to get the restraining order modified so he could see his daughter Lucia Anne (first pictures here) and took the opportunity to file a restraining order against Oksana to prohibit her from releasing certain information regarding the case and their relationship.

A source told TMZ, the alleged domestic violence incidents happened in January before they broke up and she still traveled with Mel afterwards. Another insider revealed the incidents did occur in January, but, “There were other acts after January that were not physical but still constituted domestic violence.”
