Larry King Retires Larry King Live Show
After 25 years Larry King announced tonight that he will be ending Larry King Live on CNN this fall according to a statement on his CNN blog.
The 76-year old grand interviewer plans to return to CNN throughout the year to host specials.
King will use the extra personal time to attend Little League games for his young sons and work on his troubled marriage to his 7th wife Shawn Southwick. He has been married to Southwick since 1997.
I used to stay up listening to King’s AM radio show into the wee hours of the night/mornings as a kid. I actually called in once as a 13- year old and in a very nervous voice asked King live on the air when he was going to have horror writer Stephen King on his show again.
Larry is the King of softball questions but he will be missed nightly upon the retirement of the Larry King Live show.
