Andrew Garfield Is The New Spider Man (Photos)
Actor Andrew Garfield is set to replace Tobey Maguire as hero Peter Parker in the Spider-Man’s fourth screen adventure, which is set to start filming later this year to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012 (more pictures below).
“Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker,” says Spidey 4 director Mark Webb.
The 26 year-old actor was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in England, where he is well known for his starring roles in “Red Riding” and “Boy A”. Andrew appeared in “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” and will hit the big screen again this fall in “The Social Network”, a movie about Facebook, and in the adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s “Never Let Me Go”.
