“Harry Potter” star Afshan Azad, who plays Padma Patil in the movies, was allegedly attacked by her brother, Ashraf Azad, and father, Abul Azad, who threatened to kill the 23 year-old actress at her home in Manchester, England on March 21, 2010.

Afshan’s father and brother were presented to court on Tuesday (June 29). They were charged with attempted murder and the brother, Ashraf is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Abdul and Ashraf were released on bail and are due back in court on July 12. There is no information about the motive for such vicious crime.
