British singer/TV personality Cheryl Cole (aka Cheryl Tweedy) has been hospitalized and is currently being treated for malaria in a London hospital, her rep confirmed. The 27 year-old, who recently returned from a trip to Tanzania, collapsed during a photo shoot for her new album and was immediately taken to the hospital on Saturday (July 3).

Cheryl will be forced to cancel all her professional commitments for a couple of weeks. The singer recently filed from divorce from soccer star Ashley Cole, who had been cheating on her with different girls for a long time, and is rumored to be dating “Dancing With The Stars” pro champion, Derek Hough.
