Singer/mommy/actress Christina Aguilera, whose latest album “Bionic” seems to be one huge flop, is going to make her big movie debut alongside the one and only Cher in the upcoming movie “Burlesque” (more pictures below).

“It’s sexy, it’s sensual,” Christina promises. “The whole idea of burlesque has always intrigued me. The art of the tease, the dance, beautiful women — need I say more? I think people will definitely feel energized and excited.”
Christina will play a small town girl (Ali) who runs off to the big city to pursue her big dreams and ends up in a struggling club owned by Cher (Tess). Did Christina and Cher get along? Yes! XTina is a big fan of the diva!

“I love no-bull-(expletive) women, and she’s the best of the best,” Aguilera says of Cher, who plays Tess, owner of The Burlesque Lounge. “An original trendsetter in her time and a legend in mine. I found her kind and warm. She had helpful advice and stories for days.”
The movie will hit theaters this fall. Christina wrote four original songs and sang an Etta James’ classic, which will be featured in the movie’s soundtrack. We cannot wait to see the two larger-than-life divas interact on the big screen.
