Mobster Mickey Spillane’s son, Robert “Bobby” Spillane, who was a small-time actor with guest roles on “Law & Order” and “Rescue Me“, fell out of a sixth floor window of his Hell’s Kitchen apartment in Manhattan on Saturday (July 10). Bobby was 45 years old.

Bobby’s death seems to be an accident and there’s no foul play suspected. Bobby, who had his left arm in a cast after recently undergoing shoulder surgery, leaned against the window to call out his brother, Michael Spillane, when the screen gave away.

“The poor kid had a terrible accident,” said Bobby’s uncle, Jim McManus.”Michael said he’ll never forget the thump when he hit the ground. He said, ‘That will be in my mind forever.’”
