American Idol Carrie Underwood married her hockey player beau Mike Fisher in a private ceremony with 200 guests, which reportedly cost more than $500,000, at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on Saturday (July 10).

Carrie wore a Chantilly lace Monique Lhuillier gown and she and Mike exchanged vows under a lakeside tent. “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” the newlyweds said in a statement they signed “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”

The bridezilla hired a wedding planner, but she was also totally involved with the details of her big day, while the groom took care of the honeymoon plans. Carrie has no idea where they will spend their honeymoon.

“I bought a lot of magazines and am cutting out pictures,” she told Us in January. “I have a folder and I cut out pictures and glue them in. It’s in kind of a binder thing.”

“[Planning] that [honeymoon] was Mike’s project,” she said at the CMA Fest last month.
“It’s a surprise. I have no clue where we are going, which is nice. I know it will be warm, that’s about it.”

Mike and Carrie became engaged in December 2009 after dating for more or less a year. Why wait when it’s true love? Congratulations to the newlyweds. We wish they live happily ever after. (NOTE: Carrie’s wedding pictures will be posted as soon as they are available!)
