Actress Amy Adams is confirmed to play the role of iconic 60’s singer, Janis Joplin, in the much anticipated biopic directed by Fernando Meirelles, the director of “City Of God”. The movie will be produced by The Twilight Saga producer, Wyck Godfrey.

The biopic has been in the works for a long time and many tried to make a movie about Janis, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 27, before, but they have all failed to deliver until now. Amy, best known for roles in “Catch Me If You Can” and “Enchanted”, is the right woman for the job!
