Def Leppard lead guitarist Phil Collen and costume designer Helen L. Simmons have finally tied the knot in a beautiful sunset ceremony on the beach at the Ritz-Carlton on Palm Beach, Florida on Friday (July 16).

“We’ve been looking for each other our entire lifetime,” Collen tells People. “To say we’re ecstatic this day has finally come is putting it mildly. It could only be us for each other.”

“We didn’t intentionally start out trying to have green wedding,” says Collen, 52. “But since it’s a natural part of our lifestyle to respect the environment, everything flowed pretty naturally.”

The bride wore a gown by South African designer Adele Wechsler, who specializes in natural fabrics. Phil’s bandmates Rick Savage and Vivian Campbell were among the guests as well as Muay Thai trainer Jean Carrillo, who was the best man.

Phil and Helen decided to have their wedding invitations designed by Paperless Post e-mailed, and their wedding reception, which included an organic vegetarian and vegan menu, was completely alcohol-free (and meat-free too!).
