Reality TV parasite Jon Gosselin reportedly recently lost a lot of weight, also losing his infamous beer belly. Jon showed off his “ripped” new body in a plaid bathing suit at the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, on July 8.

Jon decided to get toned, tanned and healthier for the sake of his kids. The father-of-eight wants to set a good example. “Jon’s made time for himself,” says a friend of the reality star. “Jon’s own dad never took care of himself and died at an early age, so Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he’ll be around for his kids as long as possible.”
