Oscar-winning screenwriter Brook Busey aka Diablo Cody has just announced on her Twitter account that she and her husband Dan Maurio welcomed a healthy baby boy (7lbs, 2 oz) on Tuesday (July 27).

The couple decided to name their first bundle of joy Marcello Daniel Maurio. The proud momma tweeted, “We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed.”

Diablo also announced she was expecting on Twitter back in April 2010. The “Jennifer’s Body” and “United States of Tara” creator is currently working on a movie adaptation of the “Sweet Valley High” book series.
