Former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton and her fiancé, Marc Mezvinsky, exchanged their vows in front of 400 guests, including Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, in a lavish ceremony Astor Family Palace in Rhinebeck, New York on Saturday (July 31) – more photos below.

President Clinton and Secretary of State Clinton released the following statement: “Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”

Other VIP guests included Mary Steenburgen, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actor Ted Danson, who attended with wife Mary Steenburgen. Danson said, “We want to wish them the best,” adding of the couple, “they are great kids, very family-oriented.”
The bride wore a stunningly beautiful white gown designed by Vera Wang, who is a family friend, while Hilary decided to wear an Oscar de la Renta creation. The ceremony was held by Rabbi James Ponet (Marc is Jewish) and the Rev. William Shillady (Hilary is a Methodist).
