Blake Lively Threatens to Quit ‘Gossip Girl’
According to sources, Blake Lively is fed up with behind-the-scenes fights and drama on the Gossip Girl set. Blake, 25, has threatened to quit the show, and even asked producers to kill off her character, Serena Van Der Woodsen, so she could have a dramatic exit.
An on-set source said:
“Blake has asked producers to kill off her character. She’s tired of working on the show. It was great at the beginning, but she’s started to get bored of her storylines and all the petty fights on set.”
The source also added that the only reason Blake has stayed with the show is because she gets to work with her boyfriend Penn Badgley:
“Nearly all the cast members have had some kind of bust –up. Besides the fact that she gets to work with her boyfriend, Blake wants to leave.”
D-RAMA! Is any of this really surprising to you? It seems to me that it would be near impossible to work on a set like Gossip Girl without drama. I highly doubt the show would be able to survive without her though. Any Gossip Girl fans out there? What do you think about Blake threatening to leave the show?
