Maggie Gyllenhaal To Star In Comedy About Invention Of Vibrators
What could be better than a movie about sex toys– starring the slightly awkward Maggie Gyllenhaal, no less?
I can think of very few things.
The indie film, called Hysteria, is a romantic comedy focused around the invention of the vibrator in Victorian-era England. (Who knew!?)
Hugh Dancy will sit alongside Gyllenhaal, and Jonathan Pryce and Shrek’s Prince Charming Rupert Everett have also signed on.
Maggie plays the daughter of a Dr. who treats female ‘hysteria’ with a new invention (vibrators) with his colleague, Hugh Dancy.
Sounds like the kind of film you would NOT want to see with your parents.
Eee, the best kind!
Hysteria is currently in pre-production and is expected to shake up theaters (get it?) next year.
