Pittsburgh Steelers star Troy Polamalu’s incredible long locks and perfect ringlets has had his hair insured for $1 million. No kidding! The Head & Shoulders spokesman is not going to take any chances with his valuable hair. Troy even compared his hair to Jennifer Lopez’s infamous booty, which is also insured.

“It’s like J.Lo’s insured butt!” he jokes. I have no idea why Troy’s hair is so valuable, but everybody seems to be after his secret for keeping a strong, voluminous perfect hairstyle. Seriously.

Troy, who hasn’t cut his hair in more than eight years, confesses it takes him 45 minutes to care for his hair before a game and all the guys the locker room are incredibly jealous of his hair. I find this really hard to believe.

“One guy in particular… is stealing all of my Head & Shoulder products,” Troy laughs. “It’s correlated to what a warrior in the past would do to prepare for war. You have the Mongolians, the Japanese Samurai, the Spartans–all of these warriors with long hair…and in that way you can almost get into the mind-way, preparing for some type of battle when you are doing your hair.”

Is this a total joke? How can someone live a normal life with a hair like Troy’s? It must be damn hot and uncomfortable during those hot summer days. The 29 year-old is not even considering to trim his hair ever… certainly not now that he got it insured!
