Actress Jennifer Aniston, who is currently promoting her new movie “The Switch” (watch trailer here), paid homage to the one and only Barbra Streisand in a special photo shoot for the upcoming September 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The 41 year-old strikes some iconic Barbra poses from “Funny Girl”, “What’s Up, Doc?”, and more. Why? Does this make any sense at all? Jennifer is no Barbra and will be no Barbra. In the interview, Jennifer talks about being the in spotlight (not for her “incredible” work, but her relationship with Brad Pitt!), her sense of humor and future plans.

Here are some highlights from Jennifer Aniston’s Harper’s Bazaar interview:

On being a funny girl: “People laugh at me. Sometimes I know why, and sometimes I don’t. But I can pretty much find humor in anything. That is a necessary part of life. I don’t want to say laughter is healing, because it sounds corny, but it’s a release.”

On what she’s learned from Barbra Streisand: “You don’t have to stop at one thing. You can do it all if you want to.”

On being in the spotlight: “[Barbra and I] are people who have been put in the spotlight, for better or for worse, and you just keep riding, and you keep overcoming.”

On looking up to Streisand: “Barbra inspires me because there isn’t anything she hasn’t done that she wanted to do, especially as a female in the time when her generation was prime. She’s a true renais sance woman. . . I had a long conversation with Barbra about directing because I directed a short a couple years ago, and if I don’t do it again soon, I’m going to burst out of my skin. And we also love interior design.”

However, this is not the first time, Eddie Cibrian, who cheated and left his wife Brandi Glanville to be with his “Northern Lights” co-star, is accused of also cheating on LeAnn. “LeAnn is getting a bitter taste of her own medicine,” a friend of Brandi’s tells Star. “Eddie will keep cheating, because that’s just what he does.”

Is LeAnn really getting a taste of her own medicine? I’m going to defend LeAnn. She is in love. People do stupid things when they are in love, especially when they are led to believe the other person feels it too. What about Eddie and Brandi? Did Brandi really fall for that guy’s trap again?

Jail was the best thing that ever happened to Lindsay Lohan! The 24 year-old actress went from “persona non grata” in the business to inspirational muse on the cover of a bunch of magazines (Complex, Maxim, GQ Germany) for no apparent reason.

Actress Hilarie Burton and her boyfriend, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, secretly welcomed a baby boy, whose name and birth date she refuses to reveal. Hilarie and Dean, who started dating about a year ago, somehow managed to keep their pregnancy a secret until now.

“We’re really happy, and we’re a very good team. And we got very lucky that our family is what it is,” Hilarie told the Associated Press. “I want to protect them like a mama wolf should.”

The couple first appeared together in public at the premiere of the actor’s movie, “The Losers” in Los Angeles back in April 2010. Hilarie was glowing, but she did not look pregnant (photo above) – OK, she had a small bump that totally went unnoticed!

This is the first child for Hilarie and Jeffrey’s second son. The 44 year-old actor only learned he was the father of a 5 year-old son with actress Sherrie Ross last year. Congratulations go out to the whole family.

After the big Bachelorette finale aired on Monday (August 2), Ali and her man, Roberto Martinez, finally appeared in public together to show off they are completely, madly in love, while shopping at Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles on Tuesday (August 3).

“The Rachel Zoe Project” star Rachel Zoe reportedly fired her longtime loyal assistant, Taylor Jacobson, and the nasty break up between the two was dramatically covered on the third season premiere of the show on Tuesday (August 3). Rachel’s brand new assistant Ashley Avignone was introduced.

Rachel and her husband and business partner, Rodger Berman, accused Taylor of stealing merchandise from the company, which she vehemently denies. Taylor defends herself, saying, “I don’t fit into samples. I don’t understand. It’s the weirdest thing to me. I’m fat.”

And what about her fellow former assistant, Brad Goreski? Taylor confessed they do not keep in contact, says there is a lot of cattiness in the business and prefers to forget about the past and move on. Was Taylor set up by Brad? We don’t know, but Rachel is going to terribly miss Taylor in the future.

Michelle Branch‘s daughter, Owen, celebrated her 5th birthday today, according to Michelle’s Twitter.

Her tweet:

“Well, I don’t know how it happened but it appears I have a 5 year old Happy Birthday to my sweet daughter”

Which was followed by a photo of a pile of gifts in pink wrapping paper.

The singer, whose single “Everywhere” was played, well, everywhere when it debuted in 2001, married her bassist, Teddy Landau, in 2004. The couple welcomed little Owen the following August.

Just a few days before her birthday Michelle’s mini-me struck some bad luck (literally) when she apparently walked into something sharp and made of metal.

Michelle tweeted the photo below with the following caption:

“Close call! Owen ran into a metal corner of a shelf at the hardware store. Missed her eye by half an inch. Now she’s happily eating a cookie Scary!”

Ouch! Look out down there, shorty.

Michelle recently released a 6 track EP, “Everything Comes & Goes”, which is currently available exclusively on her website and should be available on iTunes sometime this month. This solo EP follows her work as one-half of The Wreckers, an American country duo with Jessica Harp, who broke up after a short run on the country scene.
