Former American Idol contestant Kristy Lee Cook landed her on reality show, “Goin’ Country”, which will show the singer’s struggle to get a record deal and her incredible hunting expeditions across the county, on cable sporting network, Versus.

Oh no! We do not need a country star holding a guitar in one hand and a gun in the other. That is so tacky and absolutely not sexy at all. Kristy has been a hunter for six years now and she is certainly very proud of her accomplishments in that department.

Cook’s weapon of choice is as Browning 270 Winchester short magazine rifle. “It’s my trusty rifle and I use it for as much hunting and animals as I can take down,” Cook told Fox411. “It’s one shot, one kill.”

Ugh! The 26 year-old kills animals for sport and she loves it (*eyeroll*). She responds to animal lovers’ attacks saying hunting is another way to share time and unique experiences with family and friends. This sounds pretty irrational to me… but the only thing I could ever hunt is the food on my plate! Sorry!

“I never used to like killing animals until I got out and experienced it. It’s the food chain. Animals are here for us to eat. In my family we grew up without a lot of money so I take all this meat home and anything that’s left we give to homeless shelters or orphanages so all the meat is going somewhere and I get to feed all these people,” Cook says.

“Plus, now I know if anything were to happen in this world I know I would be ok because I can shoot my own animals,” she laughed to Fox 411.

“I’m hoping that people will see the hunts as a chance to hang with family and friends and share an experience. It’s so much fun in the outdoors and when you harvest something for the meat it really means much more than just going out to the grocery store and buying it,” Cook, a big organic food nut, told Fox 411.

Geez. I hate when sport hunters drop the food chain theory. It certainly doesn’t mean you have to enjoy the killing of an innocent creature to feed your family. Whatever. So. Ever.

“I think it looks good for getting another deal,” Cook says. “It’s a work in progress and I am working really hard on it. I have a great feeling about this and this show is giving me the best of both worlds. I love my music. I’m fighting for my music career and we’re working on that and hunting season is coming up so I’m taking a lot of people out hunting. Both things take the same instincts.”

Kristy should dedicated her time to her music or develop a new naughty webcam show. This hunting show is certainly not going to earn her many fans. What the heck? Musicians should be sensitive people, not animal killers just for the fun of it. Of course, it could be worse – hopefully Kristy is not on drugs!

Cougar Town producer Bill Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly that he’s decided to stick with the original name:

“I’m not changing the title. We never thought of a good new one, which kind of sucks. And when you look at the modern landscape of television, changing the title means changing your DVR and all this other stuff.”

He also added that hopefully all of the hoopla surrounding the name change will get people interested in watching the show:

I’m gonna have to agree with you there, Bill. Cougar Town IS the worst titled show of all time. But I do hope that the show is better this season. Well, she’s certainly not denying it.

In the new Vanity Fair, Lady Gaga, 24, reveals some of her past struggles with drugs and how they affected her. She was quoted saying she’s “terrified of heroine” but still does “mostly cocaine.” Gaga! No! Why did you have to say that? :

“I won’t lie; it’s occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year.”

The singer talks about one incident in particular when she realized she was headed down the wrong path :

“I was completely mental and had just been through so much. I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I’ll never forget it. And she said, ‘I’m coming to get you.’”

Gaga then went to her 82-year-old grandmother’s house in Virginia instead of a rehabilitation center. She said:

“I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I’ve worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, ‘I’m gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you’re gonna stop crying, you’re gonna pick yourself up, you’re gonna go back to New York, and you’re gonna kick some a–.’”

Lady Gaga also added that she doesn’t encourage drug use in any way:

“I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don’t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It’s in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster.”

I have to admit that I appreciate the fact that Gaga is open about her demons. She’s always been very realistic with her fans about her past and the problems she faced. As far as admitting that she still partakes occasionally, that probably wasn’t the best idea. That might be back to bite you in the ass sooner or later.

Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from Lynwood Correction Facility at about 1:35 am on Monday (August 2) after serving exactly 13 days out of her 90-day jail sentence. Lindsay was taken to UCLA Medical Center to start her 90-day rehab treatment immediately.

Former NBA Dennis Rodman, known for having a problem with alcohol and anger management, was involved in a serious car crash and still managed to walk out of his car with just one simple scratch on his finger over the weekend.

Dennis was not driving. He was the “innocent” passenger in a green Range Rover when one of the tires blew out and the car flipped three times on I-95 Fort Lauderdale, Florida. That was quite an action movie scene!

Fortunately, the accident was not fatal. A few people helped him get out of the car, but Dennis was OK. We cannot say the same about his friend (the driver), who was treated for head injuries at a local hospital. After what he had been through, Carmen Electra’s former boyfriend politely declined to sign autographs at the scene of the accident.
