“Mad Men” star Rich Sommer and his wife Virginia Sommer welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Patrick Ryan Sommer, who weighed 7lbs., 9oz. and was 21 inches long, in Los Angeles on Tuesday (August 31).

The 32 year-old actor could not be happier with the arrival of the new bundle of joy and promised to be the best daddy he can be, while joking about the amount of alcohol that would be acceptable for a responsible father.

“We are loving hanging with our happy, healthy baby boy, and appreciate our family and friends joining us in celebrating this exciting time,” Rich told People.“Also, he looks way better than I do in a onesie.”

“I’ll try to remain coherent at all times so that I’m not the terrible father that welcomes his son into the world in a fog of pain and alcohol,” Sommer joked. However, he does have the perfect excuse — he was only trying to stay in character: “Son, I was rehearsing.”

Virginia and Rich have been together for a long time and welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Beatrice in 2008. They are currently living in Los Angeles, California. Congratulations to the Sommer family!
