Tennis star Venus Williams made another risqué fashion choice when she decided to wear that awful and hideous sheer sequin-covered dress and flesh color shorts to play at the 2010 US Open (more pictures below). Those shorts also caused a lot of controversy at the Australian Open earlier this year.

Venus reportedly told the fans, “So far this year my outfits have been based on the cities that I play in. This outfit was supposed to be about New York. It’s like bursts of fireworks.” We’d call it a burst of tacky/bad taste.

The Williams sisters are well known for their bold fashion statements on and off the court. Venus will continue to surprise us with a new outfit for each of her matches at the US Open this year. If Venus makes it to the finals, that’s seven different costumes.

We can only hope the complete fashion disaster doesn’t last too long, but we doubt the outfits will get any classy-er. So far three matches, three different yet equally hideous outfits!
