“Beetlejuice” Actor Glenn Shadix Died At 58
Actor Glenn Shadix, best known for his role as Otho the interior decorator in Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” (picture above), died after falling at his home in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday morning (September 7).
The 58 year-old had serious mobility problems and he had been using a wheelchair. According to Glenn’s sister Susan Gagne, he apparently fell out of his wheelchair and hit his head in the kitchen.
“He was having mobility problems, and he was in a wheelchair,” Susan Gagne said. “It looks like he fell and hit his head in the kitchen, and that’s the cause of death.”

It is with great sadness and pain that the family of William G. “Glenn Shadix” Scott announces his passing this morning.
A memorial service will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2865 Old Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, on Saturday, September 11th at 2 p.m.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Glenn’s name to the Theatre Department of the Alabama School of Fine Arts, 1800 8th Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35203.
