Actor/TV host Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza have welcome a healthy baby girl named Gia Francesca Lopez, who weighed in at 6 lbs., 4 oz., in Burbank, California on Saturday (September 11)- more pictures here. Gia is the couple’s first child.

“We are so overjoyed,” Mario told Extra. “What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world.”

The 36 year-old new dad is already planning on cashing on his first fatherhood experience with a book and possibly a reality show. The perfect name for the show, Mario tweeted: “Mario Lopez: Saved By The Baby“, a reference to the success of “Saved By The Bell“.

“There’s so much out there for women but not so much for men, and I want to be a very hands-on dad,” he said. “I think having a humorous but informative way to tell that story would be great for a show.”

The girl wasn’t even born and daddy was already thinking about ways to overexpose his precious bundle of joy. A reality show seems a bit too far-fetched, but if Kate Gosselin did it, Mario can do it too.
