Rapper Moses Barrett III aka Petey Pablo was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon when he ironically tried to pass through security at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina on September 11 (Saturday).

The 31 year-old was reportedly on his way to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles when a gun was spotted inside his carry-on bag, forcing security to call airport police.

Petey was promptly arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. The rapper was released on $50,000 bail and is due back in Wake County Court on Monday (September 13).
