Jennifer Lopez Finally Signs American Idol Deal
Singer Jennifer Lopez will be the next American Idol judge, joining Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler in the judges’ panel on the tenth season of American Idol. The 41 year-old is reportedly ready to finally sign the deal, a very lucrative deal.

She’s out and now she’s in again! Jennifer’s diva demands were not enough to dissuade Idol producers. The ship is sinking, so it’s not easy to find a good singer or songwriter who wants to be associated with the show. Simon Cowell left after nine season, Ellen DeGeneres quit and they should have kept Kara DioGuardi.

As much as I love Aerosmith’s frontman Steven Tyler, he is certainly not the right man to replace Simon. And Jennifer could never replace Kara or Paula Abdul. What does JLo really know about good music or real singing? Lip-synching and booty-shaking are the diva’s specialties.
UPDATE: JLo is officially a new Idol judge. She finally signed a $12 million contract for one year with American Idol. The contract does not include movie and TV development deals as Jennifer wanted, but she seems to be pretty happy to be part of the Idol phenomenon.

I have to disagree with you there, Rita. I think J-Lo is a welcome addition, she’s edgy and definitely a better choice than Kara. I love and miss Paula, but Cara didn’t bring anything to the table. Maybe J-Lo will. Let’s see. But I look forward to seeing her on the panel.
p.s. Didn’t know about Steven, I think that’s an interesting choice too cause he’s like brain-fried from all the drugs and drinking. LOL. He might be the funny one.
