Singer Katy Perry went a play date with Elmo and they sang an original sweet new version of her hit song “Hot N Cold” for the 41st season premiere of Sesame Street on Monday (September 27)- watch music video HERE.
Katy and Elmo’s video hit YouTube and the show started receiving several complaints regarding Katy’s incredible rack on display, which was deemed too hot for the children’s TV show. Sesame Workshop explained in a long statement why they ultimately decided to pull the clip from the premiere.
“Sesame Street has a long history of working with celebrities across all genres, including athletes, actors, musicians and artists. Sesame Street has always been written on two levels, for the child and adult,” the statement reads. “We use parodies and celebrity segments to interest adults in the show because we know that a child learns best when co-viewing with a parent or care-giver. We also value our viewer’s opinions and particularly those of parents.”
“In light of the feedback we’ve received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on You Tube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast ofSesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers. Katy Perry fans will still be able to view the video on You Tube.”
Katy is supposed to be all covered up with fresh colored mesh that goes all the way up to the neck, but the outfit gives the impression the singer’s boobies are going to burst out. You can imagine what type of angry messages shocked parents sent to the show… and then, there were also some very excited parents, who absolutely loved it!
