After an unsuccessful bid for Haitian presidency, Wyclef Jean has been hospitalized for stress and fatigue in New Jersey. The news was originally posted on Twitter by Haitian organization AFACeAFACe, and was then confirmed by Wyclef’s personal Twitter:

“Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue”

AFACeAFACe later posted an update of Wyclef’s health:

“Update about @Wyclef Jean’s health: as of now his personal doctor has put him on bed rest due to fatigue and stress.”

Wyclef has reportedly been experience severe headaches for weeks, which eventually forced the singer to check into a hospital. A source close to him said:

“He has been following a very heavy schedule, that has taken him to Europe twice, Asia and Africa, at the same time he’s working to finish his upcoming album and he has been meeting with a few head of States during the General Assembly Session at the U.N.”
