Republican candidate for Governor of California, Meg Whitman, believes she is the target of a “personal destruction” campaign by a “sleaze machine” on the left as a former housekeeper is about to give a press conference to tell-all about the nightmare of working for the politician.

The former housekeeper and her lawyer, the one and only Gloria Allred, will make some “controversial and explosive allegations” and tell-all about how “she suffered as a long-time, Latina household employee in Meg Whitman’s home.” The woman will be filing a legal claim against Whitman and these accusations might have a significant impact on the campaign.

Spokesperson Andrea Jones Rivera tells TMZ, “Gloria Allred is a shameful manipulator and the timing of today’s news conference so close to the election should serve as a warning to Californians that they are witnessing dirty political smears at their worst.”

Gloria Allred has been accused by Whitman’s camp of “playing shameful politics again” since they claim she is a supporter of Jerry Brown, who is also a candidate for Governor in the 2010 general election.
