Today we were treated to another Lindsay Lohan mug shot when she was not granted bail for violating her parole. That makes at least three mugshots of Lohan during her young Hollywood career.

Here is Lindsay Lohan’s mug shot from earlier today when she was booked and sent to jail after Judge Elden Fox denied her bail for violating conditions of her parole.
Lohan now has more mugshots in the past two years than screen credits.
On a positive note she is really figuring out the best makeup and hair colors for these photos.

After adopting a baby girl from Korea with husband Josh Kelley last year, mother-Teresa-in-training Katherine Heigl is giving $1 million to shelter animals.
The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation (in memory of her late brother) will help fund the Compassion Revolution, a no-cost spay and neuter program in Los Angeles.
Regarding the 50,000 L.A. animals euthanized last year, Katherine said:
“How can we change the results for these animals? [Shelters are not only] euthanizing sick, old dogs. It’s gotten brutal, you know. It’s inhuman, really.”
Katherine has 3 rescue dogs of her own, and wants to stress that spay/neutering should not be an option:
“When I was growing up, my mother and father had zero desire for any one of our animals to have a litter,”
“I think it’s a lot of work, it’s a lot of energy. Then, as an adult, because of the way I was raised and because I had the means to do it, [spaying and neutering] goes without question. “
Katherine believes that through education, her foundation, and the others involved, can make a difference in the lives of so many helpless creatures:
“But there are a lot of communities that don’t have that education, weren’t raised that way and don’t see their pets that way,”
“They have no idea that a litter of 10 means a litter of, like, 400 in the future. We can tell them and educate them, and provide a way for them to spay and neuter their pets.”
This is heart-breaking and incredible at the same time.
It’s just one city, but hopefully Katherine’s efforts will inspire others with the means to help to actually help these poor animals.
Emma Watson (and her grown-up new do) is set to take on a grown-up role in an upcoming movie about Marilyn Monroe.
Emma will leave Hermione, Harry and Hogwarts behind to join Michelle Williams, Dominic Cooper and Judi Dench in My Week With Marilyn.
This will be Emma’s first role away from her character as Hermione in the Harry Potter movies. She will play Lucy, a young wardrobe assistant.
The film starts shooting at Pinewood Studios in October, and rumor has it we’ll get a little on-screen romance from her character.
Can’t wait to see what this little lady can do — and I hope she has no problem stepping outside of her (magic) box.
Emma is currently laying low as she tackles another semester at Brown, but that will probably change when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits theaters on November 19.

No Doubt rocker-mom Gwen Stefani closed out New York’s esteemed Fashion Week with the unveiling of her L.A.M.B. 2011 collection for spring.
The collection includes African-inspired prints, tight jeans and lots of ruffles.

Once the go-to place for movie rentals, Blockbuster is now expected to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to CNBC.
In an email statement released Wednesday, Blockbuster said:
“We continue to explore all of our options and are making good progress in our recapitalization process,”
“Our discussions with the studios and bondholders continue to be productive, and we have every reason to believe we will come out of the recapitalization process financially stronger and more competitively positioned for the future.”
With online movie availability, as well as Netflix and Redbox, Blockbuster has struggled to stay above water.
The company is more than $900 million in debt, while in early 2010, Blockbuster operated almost 7,000 stores in the U.S. and abroad.
Yikes. But like with VHS tapes, some things just have to die out when new, improved alternatives are introduced.
Lindsay Lohan was taken into custody today when she arrived in court after failing two drug tests — and she could be there until October 22nd with no bail.
Judge Elden Fox made his ruling the lawyers could make any argument, TMZ reports, though no cameras have been allowed in the courtroom.
Lindsay was understandably shocked when the judge made his call, and looked at her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holly for help.
Lindsay was taken out of the courtroom in handcuffs.
Her mother, Dina Lohan, accompanied Lindsay to court today, and Lindsay’s estranged father, Michael Lohan, arrived separately.

Entertainer Eddie Fisher, who had many hits and a successful television show in the 50′s, has passed away at the age of 82-years old according to Deadline Hollywood.
Fisher was not only a great singer and entertainer, but he was one of the most successful playboys of all-time having been married to Elizabeth Taylor, Connie Stevens, and Debbie Reynolds.
He created quite the worldwide scandal when he dumped his first wife, America’s sweetheart Reynolds, to marry his best friend’s widow, America’s sex symbol Taylor, who then dumped him for Richard Burton.
Fisher’s career was never the same after the scandal as America and Hollywood turned their back on him.
He was also the father of actresses Carrie Fisher and Joely Fisher. He had two other children as well.
Fisher didn’t stop marrying after Stevens. He went on to marry Terry Richard and Betty Lin as well. Lin predeceased him in 2001.
Just because Nicole Richie had her bachelorette party last weekend doesn’t mean the star is planning on walking down the aisle anytime soon. Sources say Nicole and longtime fiance Joel Madden are planning on saying “I do” in December.

After 22 years of marriage, rocker Nancy Wilson and director Cameron Crowe are calling it quits.
Wilson, who was a member of the band Heart, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Thursday. Citing irreconcilable differences, she listed June 15, 2008 as the date of their seperation.

Crowe, who directed films such as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, wed Wilson July 23, 1986. They have 10-year-old twin boys, William and Curtis. Wilson is pursuing joint physical and legal custody of the children and has asked the court for spousal support.

The internet is a in a massive panic as mega-social networking site Facebook has been down most of the day, and parts of yesterday, to millions of its 500 million users.
According to TechCrunch facebook explains the problem as:
Current Status: API Latency IssuesWe are currently experiencing latency issues with the API, and we are actively investigating. We will provide an update when either the issue is resolved or we have an ETA for resolution.
We all know what Sigmund Freud said about the Latency Stage.
Whatever that means! Hopefully they fix these issues as soon as possible before friends revert back to emails and phone calls to get a hold of me.
