Like Dr. Oz before him, interior designer Nate Berkus spins off of The Oprah Winfrey Show into his own television spot: The Nate Berkus Show.

Nate’s new syndicated daytime TV show premieres TODAY, will feature celeb guest-stars like Jamie Lee Curtis and Dolly Parton, and will go far beyond typical design elements.

Nate told USA Today:

“The show is about lifestyle. It’s about living well.”

In the new show, Nate performs makeovers, battles “mom jeans” and tackles stain removal– It’s sure to be a hit among the ladies!

In today’s premiere episode:

Nate reveals the Instant Design Studio, a one-of-a-kind 3-D technology, which allows him to create a virtual reality and transform a space with the touch of a finger right before viewer’s eyes. Then, an unsuspecting single-mother of two (Midland Park, NJ) gets the surprise kitchen makeover of her dreams and a second chance at a beautiful life.

While most eyes were glued to the VMAs, the ever-saucy Courtney Love paid homage to Lady Gaga at her show last night at Soho music club Don Hill’s.

Courtney showed up 30 minutes late for the set, and amidst telling fans to “shut the F up”, stumbled through Gaga’s “Bad Romance” to captivate the audience.

“Thank you for tolerating ‘Bad Romance,’”

She thanked them, and before leaving the stage a fan shouted:

“We love you, Courtney!”

To which the delightful Miss Love replied:

“You don’t even know me.”

Fan appreciation at its best.

Lady GaGa was The Queen of the white carpet with an avant-garde look in a unique gown by Alexander McQueen (from his last collection). “Teenage Dream” singer Katy Perry looked like an ice skater, while Ashley Greene was flawless in a creation by Italy’s Giambattista Valli.

Ke$ha stayed true to her trashy style and dressed up in some garbage bags. She said, “I got the garbage bags from Home Depot and I kind of just put it together.” We can tell, Ke$ha! Rosario Dawson and Emma Stone’s leather mini dresses were a hit and Ciara opted for a feather dress by Givenchy Haute Couture, which was simply hideous.
