Gospel singer/songwriter Pastor Marvin Sapp’s wife MaLinda Sapp sadly passed away due to complications related to colon cancer on Thursday (September 9). MaLinda and Marvin have been married for more than 15 years and they have three children together, Marvin II, Mikaila, and Madisson.

MaLinda, a psychologist and college professor, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer last year. She underwent treatment and had been given a clean bill of health before the cancer recurred earlier this year. Pastor Sapp’s wife also worked as his manager and occasionally gave her musical contribute to his cause.

Radical Florida pastor Terry Jones has called off his planned ‘International Burn a Koran Day’ that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 11th.

Jones, the pastor of the tiny 50-member Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, had caused an international uproar with his plans to set ablaze the holy book, Quran, of the Muslims.

Politicians from every side of the political aisle from Bill Clinton all the way to Sarah Palin had called the act outrageous and begged for him to not follow through.

I tweeted yesterday, “The worst advertisement you can do for your religion is to burn another religion’s sacred book.Reeks of insecurity, bad flashbacks to Hitler.” It was just a horrible idea from the get-go.

Thankfully, Jones has changed his mind, but there was likely damage to the reputation to the United States from all the publicity his planned act attracted.  I wouldn’t be surprised if there is not retaliation still, in some form, for the unnecessary hatred he aimed at the Koran.

The media blew this story up and gave Jones the attention he was so desperately whoring for.  I mean come on, his wacky rantings have only drawn 50 members to his church planted in the sand.

Lourdes Leon, the famous daughter of pop queen Madonna, began New York City public school on Wednesday at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Arriving at 8:00 am, Lourdes, 13, hugged and chatted with a few friends while avoiding photographers. Always the fashionista, she wore ankle-high leather boots, a black skirt and a plaid sleeveless shirt over a basic white t-shirt.

While some students were eager to chat with Lourdes, others didn’t want to seem too interested. One fellow freshman said:

“I saw [Lourdes] in the morning and in the cafeteria. She was talking to people. … She blends in with everyone. She seems like a normal person.”

Lourdes is said to be a member of the drama department where students are required to take improvisational courses, theater history, voice and diction, acting and dance at the prestigious school-which was the inspiration for the film Fame.

Josh Duhamel is currently pushing his new film, The Romantics, where he’s stuck in a love triangle with Anna Paquin and Katie Holmes.

He told reporters at a NYC press conference on Tuesday that his role in the movie makes him really appreciate his wife Fergie.

“It makes me appreciate my wedding,”

“It makes me appreciate that I knew going in that I was with the one that I wanted to be with.”

Josh and Fergie were married in 2009.

The Black Eyed Peas saucy lead singer is commonly known for her lovely lady lumps, but Josh says he’s all about what’s underneath them.

“You grow up and you realize it isn’t just about the aesthetic,”

“It’s about whether or not that person makes you better and whether or not that person makes you happy. You’re lucky if you can find it.”

Unlike his character in the movie, Josh is certain he’s got this love thing down with the right lady.

“The scary part is the idea of not knowing for sure. My character didn’t know whether or not he was going to go through with it, and that’s the biggest nightmare you could have, especially for a groom-to-be.”

It’s really refreshing to know that true love can exist in Hollywood!

In the midst of a divorce from wife Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt has issued a very public apology to her– which is obviously not at all for publicity in his favor.

The Speidi divorce will be final as of Valentine’s Day 2011.

“Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved,”

“Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not – I failed spectacularly.”

Well, duh.

The ever-sinister Spencer told PEOPLE:

“Over the years, her [Heidi's] love, support, and friendship were always given, but never properly cherished. I let her down,”

“She never deserved the pain and anguish I put her through, and although I don’t expect it, I hope in time she’ll be able to forgive me.”

Spencer was supposedly set to release sex tapes of his ex Heidi, worth $5 million, but she quickly pulled the plug on that.

“I horribly embarrassed the one person that meant the world to me. For my outrageous and infantile behavior, I offer Heidi my most sincere apologies.”

Spencer also unveiled his plans for an “intense soul-searching.” I feel like that may take awhile…

There’s a possibility Hollywood’s favorite train wreck, Lindsay Lohan, may appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show this fall to tell her side of the story. A source said:

“Things are heating up in a good way. Definitely some good conversations. We’re crossing our fingers it works out for Oprah’s last season.”

Oprah begins shooting her 25th and final season of the show Monday. As of yet, the deal isn’t “locked in” with Lohan, but the source said the possibility looks “very good.”

Kim Kardashian isn’t happy over the release of 25 never-before-seen nude photographs taken of her in 2007. As a matter of fact, she’s “freaked out.” The images were out takes from her glamorous nude shoot for a popular men’s magazine.

Earlier this year, Kim openly admitted she was “uncomfortable” posing for the pictures and apologized to her fans saying she was sorry she did it. Now, she’s dealing with the situation privately. A source close to Kim said:

“She is trying to put that behind her and gets embarrassed about the photos.”

Australian soccer star Lisa De Vanna posted some very explicit pictures of herself and friends simulating sexual acts using animal statues and other props on her official Facebook page and is currently being investigated for a possible breach of the code of conduct by the FFA (Football Federation Australia).

The naughty pictures were seen by a 13 year-old girl, whose mother made an official complaint to the FAA. The shocked mother said, “I wouldn’t want my daughter to follow the Matildas and Lisa. These girls aren’t role models – they are an embarrassment to themselves and their sport.”

Lisa may lose her Matildas contract over this irresponsible type of behavior. And it’s not the first time she embarrassed the Matildas. Lisa was suspended for two games after abusing a match official and sticking her finger up the crowd.

FFA said in a statement that it “sets high standards for its players and is aware that they are looked at as role models. As soon as we were made aware of some inappropriate photographs we requested that the player take them down”. The pictures are no longer available online.

Yesterday, we were sad to report the death of LFO (Lyte Funky Ones) singer Rich Cronin from a stroke and leukemia.  The band was a one-hit wonder and their success was short lived, but we should remember Cronin, LFO, and their big hit ‘Summer Girls’ that went all the way to #3 on the Billboard Chart in 1999.

LFO had a second song, ‘Girl On TV,’ that made it up to #10 on the charts as well in 1999.

‘Summer Girls’ was one of those songs that likely was the soundtrack to a certain stage of your life.  It was widely popular during my last year of college, so every time I hear the song, it takes me back to that time and friends that were in my life then.
